I will be showing pieces similar to this in the fall at a horror themed art show at Texas Art Asylum. http://texasartasylum.com/
Sculpture Project out of found objects. I have been learning a ton from Stan Winston School of Character Arts.  www.stanwinstonschool.com

Houston Street Art/ Catching up

Daniel Anguilu

I dont know the artists, that painted these. However they run in the same vein as low brow/ pop surrealist/ street art/ graf/ contemporary art. I am starting to archive the work in Houston. To my knowledge  there havent been many people who have done this. Lawndale (http://www.lawndaleartcenter.org/)  has a rotating mural wall which has some decent work. I don't want whoever the wall police are to come and cover up some of the art. So in cases that are not documented known sites of murals vs. graffiti I will leave location off.

On a side note I will be going back to school in the fall, which will make me a hypocrite for posting this article. https://medium.com/i-m-h-o/138c5efd45e9  It is one of the best articles I have read concerning art school. Over the past year I started sculpting, and sold my first sculpture to "The Crochet Dude" He wanted a piece to guess what? Offend his maid (awesome)

Also I have been working on trying to formulate a more well rounded portfolio. A portfolio more suitable for those who are easily offended by other art I have posted. So there will be more genre flower/ still life paintings, and more Guatemalan life paintings. I will post student work as well as I go through the process of obtaining an art degree.

I havent been very loyal to the blog and so the posts are very sporadic. After watching and reading that link posted above I have found a renewed sense of accomplishment and motivation. And last but not least http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonnazar/2013/07/23/20-things-20-year-olds-dont-get/
